● On August 14, the scavenger hunt will kick off at a pregame tailgate party at Cheney Stadium from 4:00-6:00 PM. Those who would like to participate in the scavenger hunt can register that day and receive a passport to be stamped at each location. On August 27, fans can redeem their passport for a woodbase for their bobbleheads. While attendance at the kick-off party is encouraged, participants can receive passports when they pick up their first bobblehead.

● The scavenger hunt will take place August 16-20 and August 23-26 in different locations in the greater Tacoma area.

● Each bobblehead will be available for three consecutive days in three different State Farm agents’ office locations. Bobblehead #1 will be available August 16-18, bobblehead #2 will be available August 19, 20 and 23, and bobblehead #3 will be available August 24-26.

● Each day of the scavenger hunt, visit the Tacoma Rainiers page on Facebook. The Tacoma Rainiers will announce daily on Facebook which State Farm Agent’s page on Facebook or website will contain hints of the bobble heads’ location on a given day.

● Anyone who picks up bobblehead #3 will receive two free tickets to the August 27 Tacoma Rainiers vs. Portland Beavers game.

Starting TODAY is the King County Fair!  This is the oldest county fair west of the Mississippi.  And it is unfortunately may see its end if we cannot show our support.  It is a great FAMILY fair.  Only $5 for adults and $1 for children and no charge for parking, it is an economical way to spend a day out with free entertainment on three stages, vendor to shop at, and children teaching others through their 4-H animals.  This year due to budget cuts, they had to do away with the amusement rides, but they have added a great addition of Water Slides to help everyone cool off!  And that will be PERFECT in this amazing weather this weekend.  The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 13-14. So please, stop on by and say hi and let them know we want it to stay a tradition for years to come!

A Cruise that anyone can afford!

 Have you ever wanted to take a cruise but couldn't because of the expense or time?  Well, we have found a great option for you!  Each year, Cruise lines have to move boats from one port to another.  When they do this, they offer AMAZING deals!  In September, Holland America is moving a ship from Seattle to Vancouver, BC.  Double occupancy rooms for this move are now being offered as low as $49 per person (plus taxes and all that jazz!)  Just think, you could use a weekend away!  Take the cruise from Seattle to Vancouver, BC.  Enjoy hanging out in Vancouver for the day taking in the sights, sounds, and tastes, then hop aboard the Amtrak and head back to Seattle on a scenic train ride!  All for under $250 per person!  What could be better!

Welcome to Mrs. Coffee Mom's Blog

You know, I have always been great a looking for a deal.  My family can attest to that.  Last week's trip to the store started out at $140 and after coupons and discounts, ended at $80!  A full week's worth of food, cleaning supplies, party food, and school supplies all in one trip to the store!  My daughter goes straight for the clearance and sales sections for shoes and clothes.  And friends and family are always asking what is new in the world of bargains. 

So it is time.  Time to share my experiences with all of you.  Look forward to information on how to throw a party for less than $30 to great travel details (I worked in the travel industry for 12 years and know a thing or two) to how to feed a family of five for a week for less than $50!  So let me brew my coffee and get started!
